... احتفى التاريخ العربي بالسيرة المُحمدية؛ فأفرد لها المجلدات الطوال، التي ذكرت أحداث ميلاد ونشأة النبي؛ وقد أسهبت في تناول أحداث حياته من المولد حتى الوفاة بتفاصيل كثيرة مُعززة بالأسانيد ومغرقة في تفاصيل الأحداث وتواريخها؛ ولما وضع العقاد هذا الكتاب لم يكن هدفه عرضًا جديدًا للسيرة المحمدية بل أراد إبراز ملامح عبقرية النبي الإنسان الذي اصطفاه الله بظروف مُختارة صَقَّلت شخصيته، وبقدرات إنسانية فذَّة مكَّنته من الاضطلاع بحمل الرسالة. كما يقدم لنا جوانب من حياة الداعي الرحيم، الرفيق بقومه، والعالم بما يصلح لهم، فكان القائد العسكري النبيل، والسياسي المحنَّك الذي استطاع كذلك أن يدبر أمور دولة الإسلام الوليدة بمهارة، كما يقترب من صفاته الإنسانية فهو الزوج العطوف والأب الحنون رغم جسامة المهمة التي لها أرسل.
أثار كتاب الشعر الجاهلي ﻟ «طه حسين» موجة عاتية من النقد والجدال الذي أخذ عدة نواحي فكرية ودينية وأدبية، وتسببت بعض الأفكار الجامحة الواردة في الكتاب في اتهام مؤلفه بالكفر والزندقة، ولما كان منهج الأدباء والمفكرين في الرد على خصومهم يلجأ لمقارعة الحجة بالحجة، وعرض الحقائق والأفكار فقد انبرى عدة مفكرين كبار لتفنيد ما جاء بهذا الكتاب وكان «الرافعي» أبرزهم، حيث انتصر للدفاع عن تراثنا القديم كما بين بعض المغالطات التي ذكرها حسين، وقد ارتكز المؤلف في دفاعه على ذخيرته من الثقافة الإسلامية خاصةً آيات القرآن الكريم وتفسيره، فكان هذا الدفاع تحت راية القرآن العظيم
كتاب الإمتنان أسلوب حياة للكاتب الأمريكي لويز هاي هذا الكتاب يلفت نظرك لأن تمتن لكثير من الأشياء التي تحمل لها الكثير من الشكر لوجودها ، فالكتاب يلفت نظرك للمزيد من النعم التي منحها الله لحياتك ، فالقليل من الشعور بالامتنان أو الشكوى الدائمة من صعوبات الحياة لا تمنحك إلا القليل لتستمتع به . فغالبا ينتظر الشاكرون الكثير من النعم الاخري أما الشاكون فأن حياتهم ليس بها إلا القليل من النعم وذلك لأنهم لا يعترفون بتلك النعم الكثيرة التى تحيطهم ، وكذلك لأنهم لا يستمتعون بما لديهم بالفعل من نعم ، “فدائما يعطي العالم للإنسان ما يعتقد الإنسان أنه يستحقه “ويوجد الكثير من الناس ينظروا إلى النعم التي ليست في أيديهم ويشعرون دايما بالنقص مما يولد لديهم الكثير من المشاكل النفسية والسخط الدائم على حياتهم وحظهم.
